Exciting times in the months ahead as leere not only release their second (...and long awaited!!) studio album, 'An Alleluia Of Sorts' , but aim to complete an acoustic project recorded recently at 'The Shed Recording Studio' near Lichfield. Under the working title of 'The Paratrooper', the album will feature Lis Roberts on violin. Lis, originally from South Liverpool, attended the same primary school as Paul McCartney, where she first learnt to play the instrument at the age of 10 years old. She went on to study and to teach at Quarry Bank secondary school (John Lennon's old stomping ground!) and played in a number of bands during the 70's and 80's in Liverpool. She graduated from Kingston University in Music and Psychology and she has been teaching Music for 25 years both in the Uk and abroad. The Shed Studios are run by Nick and Joy Thompson. Walsall born Nick Thompson has been in the music industry since the age of 18, when he became founder member and bass guitarist for the renowned folk/rock group ‘Zeth’. The songs and the sound will sure be a little different from previous leere work, but hopefully capture the elegance of the violin amidst the other acoustic instruments. More updates to follow!
